I try to synthesize OpenRisc (ORPSoCv2) for a Xilinx Virtex-5 FPGA. I used ISE 11.1 and 12.1 and my PC runs out of RAM memory during synthesis (Win7-32-bit and Ubuntu-32-bit with 3GB RAM). Has anynone experienced a similar problem? I activated the /3GB switch in Win7 but the problem remains.

I found what was wrong. Part of the processor's memory was mapped as distributed memory and this process lasted forever crashing my PC and using too much RAM. I configured the synthesizer to map all the memory in BRAMs. Anyway, thanks for your interest.
